Tungsten Carbide Diff Ball
Introduction
Tungsten carbide balls are recommended in diffs that don't have prepped rings (sanding the rings lightly on a granite counter top with some 600 grit sandpaper or from a company that does this already). Stock rings typically have a polished finish which can be too slippery for ceramic balls if you don't have patience to set the diff correctly. Our tungsten carbide ball is smoother than the stock steel balls but not as smooth as a ceramic ball, this slight imperfection allows the tungsten carbide ball to perform on the polished rings and allows for a wider tuning window.
Tungsten carbide diff balls are commonly used in the Team Losi and Team Associated differentials. Please check your manual for the correct size.

Advantages
Tungsten carbide diff balls have many advantages over standard steel balls, such as decreased weight, higher RPM capabilities, increased wear resistance, as well as reduced friction and vibration.
High Speed: Tungsten carbide diff balls can reach a high resistance level with grease lubrication, due to reduced slip, less wear and less heat.
Lightweight: The weight of tungsten is lighter than steel, which decreases the centrifugal force and overall weight.
Long Service Life: The service life of tungsten carbide balls is 3 to 5 times longer than that of steel in similar operations.
High Rigidity: The tungsten is far greater than that of steel, this dramatically increases the rigidity of the balls.
Low Friction: Tungsten materials have a low friction force. Even under the conditions of less lubrication, the surfaces are extremely smooth.
Wear Resistant: The tungsten can will increases the wear-resistance.
