Tungsten Carbide Precision Balls
Introduction
Tungsten carbide precision balls in grades 3, 5, 10 and 24. The lower the number grade, the higher precision the ball is. Chinatungstn Online can provide quick turnaround on any size order at competitive prices. As a tungsten carbide precision ball manufacturer, we have years of experience that it is excited to share with prospective clients.
Application
Tungsten carbide precision balls are used in a wide variety of applications including bearings, medical equipment, ball screws, valves, testing equipment and a multitude of other applications where diameter, surface finish, and roundness are critical. Tungsten carbide balls are used where extreme hardness and wear resistance is required. Typical applications are valves in high precision hydraulic systems, high load bearings, ball-screws and linear bearings. They are also used for coining, pivots, detents and tips for gauging and tracers.
Properties
Tungsten carbide itself is practically inert and any attack is usually on the cobalt binder. The selection of tungsten carbide solely for corrosion resistance is usually not justified as lower cost materials are available.
Super precision balls with a diameter tolerance of ±.00001". Surface finish: 1 micro-inch. Specially treated for dimensional stability. For use as tool-room masters, measuring standards etc. Size range: 1 / 16" to 1"; 1mm to 25mm.
Grade
Tungsten carbide precision balls are manufactured in two standard material grades of C-1 and C-2. Nickel and other special grades are quoted upon request.
C-1 with better shock resistance than C-2, this grade is typically used as a mining grade where toughness and abrasion resistance are also important. It has also proven useful in bearing applications.
C-2 affords higher wear resistance and toughness which make this grade an excellent general purpose grade for use in pumps and valves.
